Post graduation Joy worked in Australia with a number of architectural firms including Taylor Oppenheim, Wolff Architects and Marc Cambourne and Associates. On returning to South Africa she joined GAPP Architects and Urban Designers, until forming her own practice in 2006.
Her project experience ranges from bespoke, small to medium residential, institutional and commercial projects, the establishment of a mining town in Zambia, as well as heritage restoration, conservation, national and provincial heritage approval submissions and management plans.
Joy set up her studio formally in 2013 after beginning to develop a dedicated client base whilst working in commercial practice.
